Civic*Celerator is a series of workshops and events, culminating with a demo day, to develop user friendly applications (apps) that can provide relevant information about political candidates and the amounts and sources of their financial support to voters and prospective voters. These apps will leverage the resource of open data made available by the Hawaii Campaign Spending Commission as well as other open government data repositories like legislative data, precinct data, etc. The event culminates at a Demo Day on April 19, 2014.
Eligibility
Entrants must be legal residents of the United States and at least 12 years of age or older to enter this Challenge. Employees of CCHI, HOD, and Sponsors, are eligible to participate but cannot lead teams. Students are encouraged to participate.
Requirements
Submissions include the following: website, applications, visualizations, dashboards, documentation, analysis, etc. Each submission needs to be accessible from the web.

To register for the Challenge you must register your team here and go to http://civiccelerator.eventbrite.com/ and complete the entry form to obtain your ticket. Please note that tickets are first come, first serve, and neither Hawaii Open Data or the Common Cause Hawaii, nor the Sponsors shall have any responsibility or liability for any persons who are unable to obtain tickets for the Challenge.
